This program combines evidence-based strategies from 3 highly researched therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to help both teens and parents manage intense emotions like anxiety, anger, self-harm and/or stress.

Through a series of 1 session with both teen and parents, 10 one-on-one sessions for teens, and 5 sessions for parents, we focus on teaching essential skills like distress tolerance, mindfulness, validation, and emotion regulation.

The program is structured and prescriptive so that teens and parents leave each session with a new skill to practice. These skills are immediately applicable to real-life situations, empowering both teens and parents to manage stress more effectively.

Our clinicians are highly trained in this program and its evidence-based approaches, with extensive experience supporting both teens and parents. Drawing from that expertise, we developed this program to offer practical, effective strategies for managing anxiety, anger, and emotional overwhelm — while also building essential skills for healthy conflict resolution.
